Uganda has an estimated 1.7 million orphans, making it the highest number in the world. 1.9 million Ugandan children have lost a parent to AIDS.
 
Every year six million children die from malnutrition before their fifth birthday. Fortunately for us, Joyce was not one of those children!

Joyce is a beautiful little 6yr old girl living at Good Shepherds Fold (GSF) Orphanage in Uganda and has been an orphan since she was one.

Though she is an orphan, Joyce is an amazingly happy little girl with an infectious laugh and a smile that melts your heart. She loves cats, fingernail polish, being swung by the arms, popcorn, Gatorade mix-ins, and being silly! She has a deep love for and loyalty to her closest friends at GSF and loves to share her stuff with them. She also has the cutest run you have ever seen! After spending 6 days with Joyce at GSF, it became very clear that God handpicked her for us!
